WIN School Council organises The Big Tidy - Wednesday 6th April

Croydon Advertiser 14th April 2011 :
PUPILS from six schools across the borough joined forces to collect bags of rubbish as part of a litter picking event.

Volunteers from the Waddon Inclusion Network – which includes St Andrew's CofE High, Parish Church infant and junior schools, the Aerodrome School, Howard's Primary and Victoria House – took part on April 6.
Around 40 pupils collected rubbish from outside their schools before making their way to Duppas Playing Field – collecting trash along the way.

They collected 30 sacks of rubbish which also included a discarded shopping trolley.

"Despite the fact Croydon Council had been litter picking around Duppas Playing Fields first thing that morning, the high number of people using the park meant that by the afternoon there was lots of litter to pick up," said WIN cluster manager Lesley Stout.

"This clean up illustrates that we care about the future of our local environment, we are not prepared to live, work and play in an area that is blighted by rubbish."

Young Filmakers Academy Premier 1st April 2011

Students from St Andrew's have been invited to attend
the Red Carpet Premier of 'The Eclipse' at Fairfiled Halls on
Friday 1st April.

They took part in this exciting project in October 2010. They participated
in the planning, writing, acting and directing of their scene.
